Abstract from
Thursday discourse of our Dear Sadguru Shri Aniruddha Bapu, held on 3rd July
2009:
“Meenatai used
to love Bapu immensely. Out of this love she offered everything, every morsel
of food, every sip of drink (water, etc) and even every breathe of air to Bapu.
One day it so happened that Meenatai ate few salted cashewnuts without offering
them to Bapu. Immediately she grieved her act. She said to herself, that
whatever is consumed without offering to Bapu should be considered poison. So
she immediately drank 4-5 glasses of salt water, which would make her vomit.
But she didn’t puked. So then she inserted her fingers in her windpipe and
tried to vomit but still she was unable to puke. At that same time the doorbell
rang and Meenatai came out to open the door. To her amazement there was Bapu
Himself at the door. Bapu entered in the house and gave Meenatai a packet of
salted cashewnuts. He said that I liked your cashews a lot and I have brought
few of them especially for you to eat.
This story is a
milestone for the devotees to make them understand, that what should be the
amount of love in the relationship between a mother and a son and between Lord
and His devotee. Further this also demonstrates to us that while consuming
every morsel of food, every sip of drink (water, etc) and even every breathe of
air one should always remember Lord and further offer the same to Him. While
doing so one should neither think that He (The Lord) doesn’t get any food to
eat nor one should think that as He is Lord He is capable arranging for His own
food, rather one should think as to what all can I return to Him from
everything that He has given me.

माझा गुरु असा गोड, माझा लेक हा मधुर I
